Save the Date: 10.-20.9. in Dortmund
Under the heading WHILE WE ARE WORKING, FAV20 invites visitors to explore different aspects of working and notworking in the arts and in society. More than 20 outstanding projects from the fields of dance, theatre, performance and the visual arts encourage thinking differently about work: Artists initiate a dance of invisible stagehands in EVERYTHING BUT SOLO, take a closer look at piecework in AKKORDARBEIT IM HALBVERBRANNTEN WALD and initiate the collapse of the global economy in AUFSTAND AUS DER KÜCHE. They contemplate the dustiness of the INNENLEBEN EINES STAUBSAUGERBEUTELS, call property and possession into question in WOHNUNGSBESICHTIGUNG and overwrite old systems in the REALITY SHOW. Artists team up with eroticized and exoticized dancers – DANSÖZ or WITCHES – or lend each other a hand in SCREWING BITCHES. In some cases, they meet at the crossroads of cultures and gender, as in ATARA or in the Turkish oilwrestling ring of KIRKPINAR. They oppose racist labels in METAMORPHOSE, celebrate the potentials of DEFINING IDENTITY and explore fluid masculinity in LOVE ME HARDER. Meanwhile resistance is forming against productivity and property: in the unemployed ARBEITSLOSENBALLETT, at everyone’s OPER FÜR ALLE, in DREAMS IN A CLOUDY SPACE or in the pensive SCHLAFLABOR. When did all this work begin? Already at the dawn of SCHÖPFUNG? The time to act has come: to practice simple mechanisms of disruption with ACCIDENT EXERCISES, endure the tension between rehearsal and performance with YOU ARE GROUP or ask what “integration” really means: MAŞALLAH DORTMUND!

Dans, tiyatro, performans ve görsel sanatlar alanlarından yirmiden fazla heyecan verici proje, işe farklı bir açıdan bakmayı özendiriyor. EVERYTHING BUT SOLO’da sanatçılar görünmeyen teknisyenleri dans ettiriyor, AKKORDARBEIT IM HALBVERBRANNTEN WALD’de güvencesiz işler mercek altına alınıyor ve AUFSTAND AUS DER KÜCHE’de küresel ekonomi çökertiliyor. INNENLEBEN EINES STAUBSAUGERBEU-TELS’da toz enine boyuna inceleniyor, WOHNUNGSBE-SICHTIGUNG’da mülk ve mülkiyet sorgulanıyor ve REALITY SHOW’da eski sistemlerin üzerine bir çizik atılıyor. Sanatçılar DANSÖZ ve WITCHES’da erotize ve egzotize edilmiş dansçılarla omuz omuza veriyor veya SCREWING BITCHES’da olduğu gibi birbirlerinin elinden tutuyor. Bazen de ATARA’da veya Türk yağlı güreş meydanı KIRKPI-NAR’da olduğu gibi kültürlerin ve toplumsal cinsiyet kalıplarınınkavşak noktalarında buluşuyor. METAMORPHOSE’da ırkçı önyargılara karşı çıkıyor, DEFINING IDENTITY’de gizli cevherler kutlanıyor ve LOVE ME HARDER’da akışkan maskülenlik keşfediliyor. Böylece üretkenliğe ve mülkiyete karşı bir direniş şekilleniyor: işsiz ARBEITSLOSENBALLET’de, herkes için OPER FÜR ALLE’de, DREAMS IN A CLOUDY SPACE’de veya dalgın SCHLAF-LABOR’da. Bu kadar iş ne zaman ortaya çıktı? Tam da SCHÖPFUNG’un (BİTKİNLİĞİN) şafağında mı? Eylem zamanı geldi: ACCI-DENT EXERCISES’da kargaşanın basit mekanizmalarını deneyimleyebi-lir, YOU ARE GROUP’da provayla gösteri arasındaki gerilimlere göğüs gerebilir veya “entegrasyonun” gerçekten ne anlama geldiğini sorabilirsiniz: MAŞALLAH DORTMUND!

The feminist collective Swoosh Lieu invites 4 stagehands to dance and focuses the spotlight on the invisible actions backstage.
